To introduce you to the Company, here is a short history of the Company and Regiment, and its deeds in The English Civil War.
Brigadier Peter Young, DSO,MC,MA,FSA, Commando Leader in WWII,and founder of The Sealed Knot formed our Company in 1971.
Little is known of Captaine Charles Fox, apart from the fact that he commanded a Company of The Kings Lifeguard Regiment of Foote when part of the Oxford Garrison in 1644, and was still in command at Naseby where the Lifeguard were caught up in the general destruction of the King's foot, and captured almost to a man. Captaine Charles Fox's name appears on a list of names that were taken prisoner of war.
Today, Captaine Charles Fox's Company comprises of re-enactor members of The Sealed Knot society from the Worcester, Gloucester, and Hereford area. It is suggested that the most important thing needed by potential recruits is "guts" - add to that a sense of humour and a readiness to take people as you find them, and you won't go far wrong.
